Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Newcastle GAA club was held in the clubrooms on Friday night, December 7th, 2012. The chairman, Michael Keating welcomed all present to the meeting. The Chairman thanked Eamon McGrath who resigned as Secretary for his work over the previous 5 years and welcomed Sharon O’Dwyer back into the position of Secretary. Treasurer William Devaney and Assistant Secretary Joan O’Dwyer presented their reports on the events of the past year highlighting the success of the Junior A Footballers on winning the South title. A large number of players were present at the meeting and they were congratulated on their success. Juvenile club secretary, Caroline Kelly, presented the achievements of the juvenile teams to the meeting and the meeting agreed to incorporate a juvenile Ladies football team into the club. The Chairman, in closing the meeting, thanked all who helped in any way in the running of the club in the past year and especially to the Lotto Committee for their fundraising efforts.
