The GAA club, in conjunction with Newcastle Comhaltas, held their victory social in Cahir House Hotel on Saturday night last, January 19th. The social was in recognition of the Junior Footballers success in winning the South final in 2012 and the senior ladies set dancers victory in the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil. Medals were presented to both groups by David Power, manager of the Tipperary All Ireland winning minor footballers of 2011. Also present on the night were County Board Chairman, Seán Nugent and South Board Chairman, Joe Brennan. Presentations, on behalf of the club, were also made to the manager and selectors of the football team on their success. GAA club chairman, Michael Keating, and Comhaltas chairman, Séamus McGrath, thanked all those who supported the social, the management and staff of Cahir House Hotel and those who sponsored prizes for the raffle.
