The under 12 footballers travelled to the Fr Sheehys grounds in Clogheen on Saturday morning, June 21st to play their final against Carrick Swans. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be Newcastle’s day and Carrick Swan emerged victorious. Well done to all involved, especially to Alice Ryan who was playing her last game with the club. Best of luck Alice with the Ballymacarbry ladies team. Thanks also to the club for the medals and the refreshments in the hall after the game. The under 10 hurlers took part in the Clerihan GAA field day on Sunday, June 22nd, playing three matches and receiving medals for their participation. Well done to the under 14 footballers who beat Mullinahone in Newcastle on Monday, June 23rd in the semi-final of the shield competition. Best of luck in the final.
