Juvenile GAA Notes

The Under 12 footballers played their South final against Ballyporeen in Clogheen recently. Despite a great performance in the final, the Newcastle team was defeated. The captain of the team was Feidhlim Ryder and Ciarán O’Loughlin won the man of the match award for the semi-final and the final which was a great achievement. Well done to all the players and mentors and the best of luck in the hurling championship which will be starting soon. The panel of players were Feidhlim Ryder (captain), Pádraig O’Loughlin, Dane O’Sullivan, Jason O’Donnell, Luke Condon, Janis Sturkina, Tommy Taylor, Tadhg Devaney, David Kelly, Arron O’Neill, Conor Butler, Alice Ryan, Yvonne Clancy, Ciarán O’Loughlin, Jack Rice Fitzpatrick, Max Zimmerman and Caelainn McGrath. 

On Saturday last, the Under 10 hurlers took part in a hurling blitz in the Sportsfield in Clonmel winning one of their three games. The team was Ciarán O’Loughlin, Jack Rice Fitzpatrick, Tiernan Cremmins, Tommy Kiely, Joshua McLean, Tom Ross, James Dennehy, Cian Slevin and Caleb McLean.

The Under 12 hurlers travelled to Goatenbridge on Saturday July 6th for a challenge game against Ballybacon/Grange. However, a number of players were missing for different reasons. The players involved were Pádraig O’Loughlin, Jason O’Donnell, Feidhlim Ryder, Tommy Taylor, Arron O’Neill, Jack Rice Fitzpatrick, Ciarán O’Loughlin and Yvonne Clancy.
