The U13s were away to St Patrick's in Wicklow on a sunny Monday evening.

With a few lads missing for our match this week, we called up three U11s to our team. A massive thank you to Arlo, Evan and Milo for coming up, we really appreciated it. They worked their socks off for the whole game.πŸ‘

For the match this evening, we wanted to focus more about continuing to learn and doing the right things, which at times wasn't the case in the first half as St. Pat's were winning the second balls and putting some good scores away. However, after half-time, I could see what we were trying to do and we really wanted the lads to back themselves and to be brave and I could see that from everyone as the second half went on. There was some great plays from us and really good team work all over the pitch. Our defence really stepped up in the second half by working hard and getting more organised.

With Eilliot and Ruben working hard in midfield, it meant Max could drive through the defence with the ball and he got some brilliant scores from far out and as a team we got some really good scores and goals from  brilliant team work. Ashton and Jack moved positions and it really benefited them, as they got a lot of joy in getting more of the ball and beating their opposition.

The lads might be disappointed with how the game finished, but as long as we keep the heads, listen to instructions and continue to learn, all that will come as we're playing most these teams again in our championship group.
